🛑 Recommended Stops

Gajraula is an ideal rest stop between Delhi and Almora, offering clean restrooms and reliable food options like Starbucks, KFC, and local eateries — a great place to stretch, refresh, and refuel.

⛽ Fuel Tips

Fuel stations are available along the route, but it's wise to fill up in major towns like Haldwani or Rudrapur to avoid any issues in remote hill stretches where stations may be few and far between.

🚘 Travel Tips for a Safe & Scenic Drive

  • Travel Time: The mountain roads are winding and may take longer than expected. A typical drive from Delhi to Almora can take 8-9 hours depending on traffic and stops.

  • Daylight Travel: We strongly recommend driving during daylight hours for safety, better visibility, and to fully enjoy the scenic views.

  • Weather Awareness: The monsoon season (July and August) can bring heavy rain and slippery roads. Always check the weather forecast before you depart and drive cautiously during wet conditions.

  • Local Driving: Expect sharp turns, slow-moving traffic, and occasional wildlife crossings in the hills. It’s part of the charm — take it slow and enjoy the journey.
